过大礼 (Guo Da Li)

Quoted from website:

In Chinese Culture, a marriage is considered the joining of two families.  Thus the parents of the bride's and groom's get involved in their wedding planning from very early on.  Two families pick an auspicious date as the Betrothal Day.  This is a formal meeting between the parents of the perspective bride and groom. The groom's family presents various proposal gifts that represents fertility and prosperity in Chinese culture, which is also known as "Grand Gift" or "Guo Da Li".  All gifts should come in even numbers, meaning "good things double" in Chinese culture.  Thus, the two are considered officially engaged.

I got my items from "the chinese wedding shop" at jubilee complex at AMK

these are the items i got:

Betrothal 过大礼 Package

Dowry 嫁妆 Package (changed the teasets coz this is too cute)

Aside from the packages, i add on these
They allow you to take out not more than 3 items in their package list. For example, if u feel that you don't like the bowl or teasets in their shop, you can deduct them (the cost) from the total package price and get the sets elsewhere.

I only managed to capture their Dowry Package list for Hokkien

Wedding cakes from bengawan solo (as usual for most people) and 大中国's 四色饼。
No picture of that as i totally forgotten to take a picture (they were soo delicious!).

May Bella box

I believe all of the gals out there have received you boxes by the time you stumble onto my blog. Well, let the pictures say the words:

Sally Hansen hair hardener really works for me. I already have one (clear) months back as some of my nails are chipping faster than the other, and I’m left with super uneven nails. Not mentioning I have a short nail bed too. Retails at 10 odd dollars (I can’t remember the exact price) at Watson’s.
And mind you, bella box cost $15 per months and bella box often consist of at least 1 retail size sample.
I'll leave it to you to do the maths..

Bioderma Sensibio H2O

*Updates*

I've found the photos of the remover results in my hard disk... lucky me

I’m currently using this makeup remover for removing me makeup daily. This is super expensive in SG (Found in Guardian S$30+ for 250ml). However, thanks to my aunt who is living in Paris, she always get 2 bottles for me on her annul trip back to SG.
It is almost EUR12 (appx S$20) for the 500ml bottle, which is more value for money than any makeup removers available in SG (tell me if I’m wrong).  It is available in HK and Taiwan too probably more or less same priced as France.
Get it at bonjour if anyone is going to HK cause it is definitely going to be cheaper than SASA or in the Bioderma retail shops as they often have promotions going on.

The Solution:

On lazy weekends, where I do not have to step out of the house, I use it to remove all traces of oil on my face after I woke up and continued with my usual routine of facial products.
It serves the same purpose as bifesta (formally known as Cleansing express) which i used interchangeably when my Bioderma runs out. Selling at S$16-S$18+ for 300ml bottle at Watsons if my memory doesn’t fails me.
The only down side for Bioderma is that it does not comes in a pump, and I would more than often have too much liquid on the cotton pads and some dripped on the floors =(
If you are, like me, a lil clumsy, you can transfer into a smaller bottle with pump, so that you can save some space on the vanity table, and most importantly, the products that go wasted on the floor.

Just when I'm going to post this. I realised that the photos taken for the post is lost! All Lost!!!
These are the results:

Products used:

First wipe (Bobbi Brown from the left)

Second wipe(Bobbi Brown from the top)

Third wipe (Bobbi Brown from the left)

The above are the only ones I can retrieve. As far as I can remember, Heroine make mascara is the only one that didn't budge during cleansing and that is the only mascara that doesn't smudge after a long day.

I'm using this:
Got it during Watson's promotion sometime back and I didn't look back to other mascara remover after since.

Lush

Went to Lush@ wisma sometime during Jan or Feb to get myself their solid shampoo..

I was amazed by all the raves I've seen online so thus I decided to get myself one of it to try out.

After talking with the SA regarding my hair type n etc, she recommended me this:

jumping juniper S$16.90/pc for one that is slightly smaller than the size of your palm

Their website states one solid shampoo= 2 to 3bottles of shampoos!

Directions for using:
simple! you either
1: lather the soap on your palms before transferring them onto ur head, or
2: use it directly onto your head the same way when you use a soap on your body

First try, it leaves my scalp super clean... hair n scalp feels like skin freshly after bath... u noe, those squeaky sound u get from after the bath.... I don't know of other words to describe it... I only need to use 1 pump of my usual conditioner( usually I used 2 pumps)

I've noticed my hair volume increases a little after 2 months of using, but...

BUT!

My hair starts to tangle alot and they became brittle... super sad whenever I comb my hair as they ALWAYS get tangled and dropped even when I used my least force to de-tangle them.

I still have half of it left after using continuously for 2 to 3 months, and now I'm back in alternating my usual liquid shampoo and the lush one.

verdict: I will not repurchase this again. Probably the SA did not recommend the right shampoo for me, I'm probably better off using my usual shampoo.

Can anyone tell me how long can a bottle of 500ML last for? for hair that reached almost halfway thru the back.
